Renae Schumann, PhD, RN, CLNC, CNE, is an experienced educator with more than 25 years in nursing academia, including eight years as a nursing dean. She is a Certified Nurse Educator and she taught thousands of students aspiring to professional nursing and advanced nursing roles. She is familiar with nursing practice standards and the requirements surrounding the implementation of essential competencies and outcomes.

As dean, she led the nursing school through the academic accreditation process, earning the BSN program continued accreditation through the Accreditation Commission on Education in Nursing (ACEN), and initial accreditation through the Commission on Collegiate Nursing Education (CCNE) for the newly developed MSN program. She is a site evaluator for hospital-based Post Graduate Nurse Residency Programs through CCNE.

Dr. Schumann is a Certified Legal Nurse Consultant, with experience reviewing cases for merit and developing timelines for plaintiff and defense medical malpractice cases.

With her husband, Mark, managing the financial aspects of the business, and their daughter, Anna, managing the communications aspects, Renae officially launched Schumann Nurse Consulting, LLC June 1, 2021.
